Add all the clubs, by grade or subject, and whatever information is required for students to participate! You may wish to add the responsible teacher for each group, or leave it open to whichever teacher is taking on the responsibility this particular year.

Readers’ Corner

Every second nutrition break in the Library during the Winter, and in the Halls of Change during outdoor weather periods, join us for Readers’ Corner! Bring your own book and share quietly with others about what makes it great. Grades 5-8 only, please. Younger grades have Reading Corners in their classrooms.

Vermicomposting Club

Are you interested in how dirt is made? Join our Vermicomposting Club! First nutrition break on Fridays, any interested students of any age can join us in the Botany Lab and learn about worms and help with adding brown matter and green matter to feed them. In the Spring, we will harvest the rich earth the worms make (Worm Poop!) and put it in the stepped herb gardens to help our plants.

Botany Club

We have room for 10 students, grades 5 and up, in our Botany Club. You must commit to being with us the whole school year. We are responsible for planning the stepped herb garden and the new gardens being built for plants and vegetables outside the east side of the Halls of Change. Please sign up outside the Botany Lab before the end of September. Preference is given to students planning on Botany for their educational goals, but that isn’t mandatory.

If you cannot commit to us for the whole year, we welcome you to join us the last Saturday of every month (rain or shine or snow or sleet!) to work on the gardens and get your hands dirty. Vermicomposting Club members are welcome, too. There is no age restriction for using elbow grease!
